get a motor from ebay for 5 to 600 and rebuild it , sell it then buy another kz to save instead

I say neither. The two most expensive things are gone.. engine and fairings. It would take lots of time to sell everything else and maybe make $200 profit in the end. Fixing it could be more trouble than it's worth. When you sell it you will have to disclose that the engine has been replaced which brings the price way down. Then who knows if the engine you buy is any good. I say leave it for someone else to worry about.

Yeah, I'm with KawToy. This is my summer job. I pick up a bike or two and part them out. That one is priced on the margin and you need to ask yourself what your time is worth. ZX9 stuff doesn't bring good money...especially the conventional fork years. There would be money in the wheels, in the tail section, the wiring harness, and a LITTLE in the frame, forks, and triple. This one is NOT a money maker. Just my 2 pennies, but again, this is my summer income, so I watch the market a little.
