Son's new project. was created by GPz750KS
I drove 400 miles round trip last night to pick this up.
1973 Suzuki GT250. 1 owner with 6k It ran last year and has a good title along with the owners manual and some other period documents. We will probably get it running then he wants to disassemble it and go through it.
BTW, I paid $375 for it in a regional auction.

I just sold a GT250 a few weeks ago on Ebay. Guy came all the way from Maryland, 6.5 hours one way. He got to my house at 9am which means he left his place at around 2:30am. I guess he really wanted that bike. He brought his family and they were going to check out Niagara Falls whie they were here. It was running but I never rode it. Who knows what shape it was in. I got like $250. Paint was shot but chrome was very nice. No title. I think you will like yours. High reving little boggers.

Great videos! That sound really makes me miss my 2-strokes! For anyone that hasn't owned a 2-stroke streetbike, you are missing out. I loved my GT550 and my 750 H2. Also had a good friend that had an RD 250. Ya gotta love those old smokey beasts! Now I'm going to have to get one again. I wonder how the wife would feel about that...

Oh Boy! After seeing what a nice job Trent did on the first project I can't wait to see how this one comes out. That's great he's into fixing up older bikes, now that he knows what he's doing this one should look even better.

Richard, if you want to hot up the GT250 a little bit for minimal work, you can trim the tops of the carb slides in a lathe. Suzuki started worrying about intake noise and fuel economy with the intro of the GT250 so they made the slides longer so that they would not withdraw completely from the throttle bores at WOT.
You might want to go up one or two sizes on the main jets if you go ahead with this mod. No use ending up with the dreaded "ventilated piston" syndrome.....
