your not going to believe this shane but my wife's grandparents are from wellsville ny and i know this bike!
this guy lives down the road from their house ( there gone now ) and i did see this bike at pizza hut a couple years ago and this guy told me he was going to sell it a few years ago.
he wanted $5,000 then and it looks like he did well by holding on to it.
now if i had your money, it would be living at my house now.
i put it on my watch list to see what it goes for.

hindsight hu?

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

They cost $3999 new I believe back in 1979. This one does look really nice, but $12000 reserve not met is kind of stretching things. As much hype as these got back in 1979 running my 74 H2 with expansion chambers I could beat them at the strip most the time and one buddy of mine who was a Honda mechanic had one and the camchain broke when it was idling, bending 18 valves at $30 each. I'll never forget that one

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Interesting...an absolute marvel of Honda engineering...one of the many Honda's I wouldn't mind owning, but a bit over-priced:) BUT, in the link given by KZ250LTD, is the reason this guy is selling his: that link lists a CBX as selling for $22500. I think there were some problems with the 1979 model having to do with the #1 carb, the petcock, and the sidestand:)

Interesting, that bike you linked to was sold to a buyer from Iceland of all places. I wonder what the shipping charges were on that and if the government whacked him for additional duty?
