I can't justify selling it. Being a clone no matter how good it looks just wont bring any $$. (I don't think $3500 was too much to ask) Might as well keep it and enjoy it. I wouldn't be worried about riding it as I would be on a real one. I rode it up the the Kawasaki Dealer the other day just to put a few miles on it. I picked up some Guzzi parts at the parts department. When I came out there were about 4 people standing around it discussing it. The salesmen were convinced it was real. I had to show them specifically that it was aGPz750 in Drag....

Still looking for an 1982 Kz1000R1. Any leads appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard Zimmerman

Richard...there is an R2 in Dallas/Ft. Worth area I'm aware of (PM me for some insight) and a KZR member is currently selling (on eBay) a KZ1100R1 which is a much rarer bike than the KZ1000R's and a great deal hotter (came stock with the 120 hp GPz1100A motor in it).

Richard, it's good to see you came to your senses. ;)
As far as the salesmen thinking it was an original, I would have let them believe,,,
