Price check 77kz1000 Update !

I have a eye in a 77 kz1000. Bike has 30k miles. Owner says motor was rebuit(top end) at 25k miles. Bike is fast. New dunlops,battery. Nice header good re-paint good chrome. Turn key ready to go. $2200 obo is this going price? too much?? thanks
Due to the fact it is winter and the bike "must sell" i offered the guy $1000 bucks and he bit. I Have to find a way to get it home and will try to post pics.

Sounds about right to me, even a bit low. If the paint is nice and of professional quality (period correct style, not some crazy custom)it is likely worth around $3500-4000.

They can be had cheaper, but other factors that must be considered are time of year, and location. E.g. dead-of-winter drops the price and $800 to ship from the other side of the US. That said, if the bike is in quality shape, I concur with Kawtoy.

GregZ...i don't know where you are located but there is a 1977 KZ1000A, all original but w/lesters and only 8700 miles in Austin (CL) for US$2200....:ohmy:

$1000 is a very, very, VERY good price. Post some pics when you get it home so we can have a good reason to hate you
