Our KZ's were really popular at one time and there just isn't much available either in vintage stuff or new.
You've pretty much answered your own question.
Unfortunately for people like us that own/ride/love these old bikes, we're a very small minority compared to all of the other bikes out there on the roads.
Not that it needs to be pointed out, but all of the motorcycle manufacturers (Kawi, Yami, etc.) are strictly in it for the money, and will only "back a winning horse" while that "horse" is actually still "in the race".
From what I've read (IIRC, it was posted about on KZr not to long ago), Harley actually profits more from their HD logo'd clothing and apparel than they do from motorcycle and parts sales...how's that for marketing!
If you surf eBay often enough (or better yet, do a Google/Yahoo search for "KZ clothing/apparel"), you WILL find something KZ related eventually.
Last year, I won an almost new long sleeved t-shirt from the late 70's/early 80's that has an iron-on KZ650 Custom on it for a really good price.
I'll likely never wear it since the outline of the bike is done in glitter, which most definately went out as acceptible apparel for men in the 70's. :pinch:

Z1 Enterprises shirts
KZR Apparel
I also did a search on ebay and all I came up with was a couple Honda shirts and of course a s**tload of vintage Harley shirts.

I found a couple of old transfers on Ebay this evening ... cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-70S-KAWASAKI-IRON-O...m?_trksid=p1638.m118 and cgi.ebay.com/Kawasaki-Motorcycle-T-Shirt...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem but neither is exactly what I would like ... guess I'll keep looking.
In the summer I usually try to make it to the big hot rod swap meet at Canfield Ohio ... there is a guy there that will do a cartoon caricature type painting, on a t-shirt, of whatever vehicle photo you can provide ... kindof pricey but really too cool
