Take the bike and join us at www.cb1100f.net/

I own a 900f and have ridden a bare bones 750f. It was a fun bike. Even the F'ers have complaints about the bike, mostly regarding their performance limitations, but it would make a hell of a runner for free.

Free is good! 750 Honda for free is Great! I owned an '82 750K, loved it. Road it to Laguna Seka for the GP races a few years back, 'bout 375 miles. Great times...

I got a 82 CB750C DOHC out of a guys impound yard once for cleaning his carpet. It had been in impound for over a year. His driver pushed the thing over in the yard, hooked a chain to it and winched it up onto the flatbed! Hauled it to my house and slid it off in the street. Promptly left it there.
Anyway after he dropped it off I had it RUNNING in 40 minutes. Started up like it had been running all day. Sold it for $600 the next weekend scrapes scratches and all.
So...YEAH, take the bike!!

Had a CB750 once. Got me from Montreal to Vancouver Island with no problems. Could be a lot of fun left in that machine.

Best of success.

It'll make you appreciate your KZs. The CB750 is a very heavy, and top-heavy, motorcycle. I'm a way bigger fan of the CB400s, 500s, 550s. That said, I'd take just about any bike in any condition if it was free (so long as I could squeeze some space in the garage). No wife, so if worse came to worse I could turn it into "art" in my living room. Ah, single livin'.

HEY McDROID I'm up here in Spring. We gotta ride sometime! ANYWAY_ Those old Honda's were great bikes & the fact that it was oiled & turned over is good. A guy could probably get it to run, but what about the fuel tank & carbs?? Gotta be a MESS!

I gotta say that my 900f is a heavy sonofabitch for what it is. Sure, it's faster than the kz550, but at what cost? Any bike made within the past 20 years would smoke both of them.

Around town I'd rather have the kz but I can't afford to have both bikes on the road. I let my girl keep one of them and I switch bikes whenever I want.
