I have a chance to get a (dont give me crap) 1981 Honda CB 750 for FREE. The bike has sat for 15 years out side under a cover. The guy put oil in the cylenders every year, and turned it over. I have to go look at it tommorow or friday, but hell its free and has a clear and clean title. What do ya guys think

Well, Mr. Honda imported three versions of the CB750 in 1981 (K, C, and F). By far, the more collectible of the three is the F series (Super Sport)...the standard series (K) and Custom (C) have a smaller following...the F series people even have a web site. So, the model and shape will determine if you keep it or part it out....if someone gave me an entire F bike, I'd be tempted to try and restore it:) but that is just me:whistle:

I hate to admit it, but I've owned 2 CB750's. A 74 K and a 78 F. Great bikes, easy to work on (screw and locknut valves). Reliable as sunrise.

Why would anybody give you crap? I would think that people who love vintage Kawasakis would generally like vintage hondas as well but maybe that's just me.
The CB750 is a fantastic bike and is totally worth keeping. I would take it in a heartbeat.
Take a look at this video:

Hello this is a non issue, issue. Free is always good. I started with a FREE KZ750 that I was going to part out on ebay. I wound up withthe Screaming Flaming Kawasaki of death after spending just a few hundred dollars on it.

81 will have the DOHC motor. Very nice. I had a 74 (SOHC motor) and rode the hell out of it 23 years ago. Treated it like crap and it still ran like a swiss watch. I say thumbs up!
Also there should be lots of support for the DOHC honda motors since they're relatively recent and have been made for a long time.
Just curious but is it titled?

okay, i went over to the guys house yesterday and the motor turns over. So it has hope after all, im going monday with my friends trailer to pick it up. Ill post pics when i get the bike. The handlebars are bent cause it fell over at sometime, but everything else looks complete, just alot of dust, rust and dirt. All of the rust is light surface rust.
