Z1 900 tank original paint on e-bay was created by oldkaws4ever
i am biding on this original 74 z1900 paint tank on e-bay. The paint dont look that bad. Would u guy's leave it original or re-paint it? Im thinking of keeping the original paint.

I suspect that if you do get the tank, you'll not be impressed with the tank's finish...I'd be prepared for a repaint :)

im not looking for show quality, but original looking bike

If the price stays low then it is worth a shot. Maybe it will clean up ok if you do following
1) 2000 grit wet sand, lots of water
2) rubbing compound on a hand held buffer, just a quick going over
3) Mequires polish on same buffer but different cloth
4) Wax of choice
It may not look perfect but it will be better than it is now. Let ub know how it turns out
