Unfortunately, I don't think that pic is photoshopped. I've seen that bike in Easyriders.

I'm sorry....but I just don't get the whole ape-hanger thing....and the more extreme the apes are, the less sense they make....to me at least.
IMO bikes are ALL about HANDLING, with speed a nice bonus to test the handling. Apes take handling totally out of the equation.
Even dragsters and Bonneville bikes have to handle to a certain extent even though they're only going in straight lines.
The guy in the pic has to be making some kind of statement....but what that statement is totally escapes me. :silly:

KZ650C2 Stock/mint. Goes by "Ace".
H2A Built from a genuine basket case. Yes,it's a hot rod.
GT550A Stock/mint. Pleasant stroker.

Though I highly doubt it is one one look at the rear fender and paint job reminds me of an Arlen Ness bike.

He's on his way over to his local dominatrix. Pull bike into garage, shut door, voila, instant fetish rack!

I've always said that it doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride.
Now I have to change my opinion.

Everyone knows that's the position that most hard-core HD riders are accustomed to - "hands above your head, and spread your legs wide!" So it would stand to reason that they'd ride in the same position.

Seriously though, that pic is most definately p-chopped.
Notice the length of the h-bar risers. If they didn't snap clean off at the first pothole the rider hit, their length and the length of the h-bars together would flip the rider back-and-forth like a rag doll! :pinch:
Other things that scream bogus are no slack in the front brake line and throttle cable, no h-bar switches, no visible clutch perch/lever.

I've seen a few bikes with ape hangers here in So Calif recently, but nothing to THAT extreme.
And IIRC, here in Calif, any h-bars placing the riders hands above shoulder level are a no-go.
That doesn't mean that some riders don't "push the envelope" by having h-bars slightly higher than shoulder level.

While I'm not a big fan of HD's, the Fatboy model appeals to me somewhat. However, that Fatboy being set up like that makes me want to wretch.

1)The guy must be riding his wife's bike.
2)He must be married to a French woman.
3)Corey is right, the purpose of the bars is to dry off her pit hairs. nothing else about this pic makes any sense. :)
