Does anyone know anything about Power Trip gear? I was looking at Newenough and they've got a jacket that's in my price range (cheap). It's a US Army branded jacket called the Blackhawk. 1.2-1.4mm leather, zip out panels that uncover mesh, CE approved armor in the elbows and shoulders & a spot for a spine protector, removable quilted liner, $130.

I don't know anything about the jacket you're referring to but I have a Power Trip black diamond jacket on order right now. I tried this model on for fit at a retail store ($299.99 price tag) and found their size Medium to fit me perfectly. I'm 5'10 and about 145 lbs. The jacket was precurved and had sleeves appropriate length. All in all, it seemed like a modern replacement for my vintage POS leather jacket.
Their Power Trip supercharger jacket is an absolute steal at $72. I don't need a second jacket but at that price it's almost too good to pass up.

Make sure you try on the brand and style jacket, at a local retail store, for fit, before you order one online. Saves the trouble of sending it back if it doesn't fit properly;)

Already thought of that Rick...but thanks Bud...and thanks to all of You Guys for the info.
Not sure WHAT I'll do,but I know I need another jacket.By the time I get an undershirt,t-shirt,sweatshirt(and maybe even My electric vest on)...too resticting with My leather jacket. It IS great with just a t-shirt,in the summer,but....

I have an aerostich roadcrafter 2 piece suit, and I just got an aerostich darien set. Its big bucks, but you get what you pay for! (Skin grafts are not cheep either) Shop around and get the best you can afford. My darien came from ebay and was only $300 with full armor and the blue electric liner.

My jacket came from a friends closet and it hadn't seen sun shine since 1974. I've been wearing it since 2001.
It has inside pockets and I can stash three packs of smokes, hearing aids, cell phone and lighter. If i am in a accident the pins will hold it on as they will sink into my flesh.
I have four more patches to sew on to add that extra layer of protection!

Nice jacket Roy! I used to have a similar one. The rattier it got, the better it looked. Yours doesn't happen to have a big rebel flag on the back does it?
Mine did. I guess it's probably a good thing that it disappeared during my last divorce. Back then everybody and his brother had rebel flags everywhere.
I used to put the liner from my Air Force field jacket inside it for those cool southern nights down in Charleston SC.

NJK sells leather and textile jackets on ebay and at their online store.
www.njkleathers.com
I'm currently wearing a 3 year old Joe Rocket Ballistic Textile Jacket, but will soon be upgrading to leather. I don't want to look like a "Squid", but the jackets I wear will need to have some reflective piping, vents, removeable liner, and of course, it will have to match the red on black color scheme of my bike.
Current Textile Jacket
Next NJK Leather Jacket...maybe
Try them on at your local store, then look for them online somewhere. You'll usually save some money that way.
