I wish I had room for one of 'em, I always liked those 1300's. Except it's kinda weird how the rearend raises up when you goose it. I'd like to have one stripped down and cafe styled. Saw one like that once and it was awesome.

Back in the day when the 1300 was brand new I thought they were pretty cool and I put quite a few miles on the demo that my boss had. As Riverroad pointed out it was kind of weird how the rearend would raise up when you smacked the gas. Back then I only weighed about 130 so to ride one of these behemouths was a bit of a chore especially around town. They were real smooth and fast as well but 28 years later I'm not so sure I'd want one. The lack of parts that are available and the fact that many parts were unique to that bike could quickly turn them into a huge money pit. the ass end raises up when the top fuler like torque hits the rear tire and it baloons up :silly:

its shaft driven so the small cog wants to climb the ring and it forces down, just like how a ford will one wheel peel.

now i'm getting car tire'd sexy dragbike 1300 thoughts.:whistle:
