About two years ago before I found my bike, I told people to look around for me. A kid from my class told me to come up to his grandfathers farm because his uncle has some old bikes sitting around I may be interested in. i figured they would be junk, but it wouldnt hurt to look. long story short, I went up there with him one weekend. I soon learned that the bikes were pushed into the old abandoned house on the farm. We almost gave up because all the doors were blocked by fallen trees, or cabinets from the inside fallen against the doors. I decided to remove one of the side windows and crawl in. The house was surrounded with garbage, and most of the floor was caved in. I made my way into the kitchen, and there was an early 70's honda, that appeared to be a 4 cylinder 400. It had just under 2000 miles, with the owners manual under the seat. Then in the nect room, which was covered in animal feces, there were two more bikes. The first bike caught my attention, It had a large front fairing, and along the muffler it read TURBO in large letters. I did some searching on the internet, and I am very sure that it is a Honda CX650 turbo. This bike had about 1000 miles on it, with the owners manual still in the fairing. The third bike was unmistakeable, with its 6 cylinders. It was a CBX, it also had a little over 1000 miles, and once again the owners manual was on the bike. These were three beautiful bikes that were immaculate, although a little dusty. I have tried contacting the owner a few times with no luck, from what I understand he is in the military. The kid who took me out there said he was back now, and gave me his number. I may be interested in a bike or two if I can get them cheap, but I have other projects who have their priority. If anyone may be interested let me know. From what I understand these arent your everyday seen bikes.

Alrigt, for everybody who thought that this was just a tale, or just for anyone whos interested, I have pictures now.

Pictures of the house the bikes are in

ummm, hmmm, just curious, if the owner's manuals were all there, why did you have to research what bikes these were? and what's the address of that house?

I wondered about that too...and they are all sitting forgotten in an abandoned, run down house about to fall in on itself. Sounds like a real shame...

Sorry if anyone thinks this is a joke, but I dont sit and waste my time by writing a long thread on a forum, just to get people excited about a few Hondas. And like the thread says, if I remember right says something like TWO YEARS AGO BEFORE I BOUGHT MY BIKE, which would make me 15, way before I was interested in old jap bikes. I dont want to sound smart, but dont accuse me of lying. And FYI, the location is near groton, SD. And it is not uncommon to find Hidden Treasures in Old Farmhouses around here. For instance a couple friends of mine, pulled an old ford roadster and a model t pickup from a barn and are making them into rat rods. I also remember reading in Hot Rod magazine that Richard Petty's Dodge Charger Daytona race car was found at an abandoned farmhouse somewhere.

Jordan, Sorry it just sounded something like the urban legend, "a lady advertised and old chevy for $100.00, and it turned out to be a 1963 Split Window Corvette" I was sort of suprised that you would advertise your find on an international board before you had a chance to get "first dibs" on those machines.

 I wish I was closer to SD, I could use some more hondas in my stable. A CBX sounds really nice.

I'me gonna try to get pictures of them up tomorrow, hopefully They will let me look again. I am friends with the relatives of the owner, and he is back from the military and hasnt been back to the farm since. His brother thinks that he knows what they are worth though, because they are three immaculate bikes stored away for a reason.

I'm sure he has an idea of what they're worth, but then again, his and yours may be in the same ballpark.
