I love the old Triples and had a friend who had a 500 that looked rather similar to that one on ebay. One day I would like to get my hands on a purple 750 H2 from 1975, but I would prefer it to be factory stock instead of totally tricked out.
This seller has put a lot of time and money into the bike and done a pretty nice job with the upgrades but in my opinion, this is a perfect example of a seller that won't realize even 60 percent of his investment in the bike.
Very rarely do any sellers make money or get back their cash when they modify a collectible. A restored, stock Chevelle, Mustang or 'Cuda is worth more than one that has the motor heavily tweaked, a custom paint job and customised interior. The same thought holds true to bikes like the Triples and Z1s.
As cool as this ride is the bike would be worth more if he had put his cash into a restoration, but to each his own I guess.
