1980 KZ650F1, Bought new out the door for $2,162.98!

You guys are awesome!! I know it's all fixable, the part that pisses me off the most is that I just sunk about $1500 into it and this is (or was) the best it's looked since I bought it. The part that really is the saddest is that I broke a spark plug too! :woohoo: :woohoo: It's gonna be about 6 months before I can start digging into it, but it's all workable!! Thanks guys!!

Don't worry about that broken spark plug, I've got a few spares in the garage I can let you have for free.
It's really good to see that you haven't lost your sense of humor from this.
I don't have lot of spare 650 stuff, but I'm sure I have a few things that might help you out if you need them:
Headlight ears.
Fuel tank badges.
Foot pegs and brackets.
Shifter pedal.
I have a box with some other 650 stuff in it, but not sure what it's in there until I go through it.
Look at the bright side.
You're still alive and will eventually heal, the bike is fixable, and you didn't go down on the right side and trash that nice Kerker pipe! :woohoo:

Yea saw that tank, it was up a few months ago. Gonna be awhile till I start gathering parts. Not working and collecting disability leaves us strapped. So gotta wait till I'm back to work to start ebaying. It'll happen, just not now. Thanks R4

Hi Bluemeanie . . .
nice to see your fingers and brain are still with us. . .
and the rest of you will be soon as well. . .or well soon . . .
Looks like you might have to add a set of handlebars to your "must have to repair" list.
After you get the bike back together, you might get a personalized tag that says "Phoenix."

OK, John. Glad to hear you're up and hobbling around. Don't overwork the leg. The bike will still be there when you finally get healed up.
Unfortunately I'm new to the world of 650's, having gotten my first one in May of this year and in very nice shape too....so I haven't need to collect any parts bikes or bits.
However, I work at a bike salvage yard and we may have some bits that you might need when you get your list sorted out. Shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do to help out.
Meanwhile.....back to the healing process for you.

Wow Blue, I haven't been on the board much lately, didn't know you had an accident. Hope you're doing better now, or soon.
