Buyer arrives to pick up the bike, finds title already signed, buyer titles bike in his/her name, original owner is SOL.

Not like it isn't done every day :D

Knew a guy who lost his vintage Harley this way. For the record, never a good idea to put your pride and joy in your wife's name to save on insurance.

If she forged his name and he reports it as stolen she will give ou or when you go to register it they take the bike and your out your grand.

Yep, do NOT/NOT get in between husband and soon-to-be-ex
by buying ANYTHING from him/her that has to registered in any way.
You are leaving yourself open to all kinds of problems, the least being loss of your purchase price.
Just walk away, no matter how good the deal looks.

i keep my bikes, tools, guns and cuukoo clock from germany.
she can have all the rest.
