From Bluemeanie's wife

Hello to all of my husbands buddies!

I wanted to let all of you know that John was involved in a motorcycle accident this last Thursday night coming home from work. I want to say first he is going to be fine. He shattered his lower left leg, collapsed a lung, and has road rash everywhere. We just got home today, and I wanted to let you all know. John had surgery the same night, and they put in rods, pins and cables in his leg to put him back together, so now I can call him my bionic man, lol. As I said,he will be fine, but it is a 5-7 month recovery period, so no work until then.

I know how important all of you and this website are to my husband, and I know you all share your love of bike riding, KZ's specifically. I know John isn't looking for sympathy, but I also know any words of encouragement you could send his way would be SO appreciated. Thank you all ahead of time.

John doesn't feel up to getting on the computer right now, but I know he will get back to all of you in a few days. This has been extremely traumatizing, as I'm sure many of you know, either personally or through friends who have had the bad luck to be involved in an accident. Thank you for understanding.

Ride safe!
Janna (Mrs. Bluemeanie)

I moved this thread so that it won't be purged with the other Chit Chat threads.

Thanks, ma'am. Just tell him we're all praying for him and hope he's back up and about sooner than the docs estimate (what do they know anyway?). Glad he's gonna be OK. Let us know if there's something we as a group can do.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen a post from him in the past few days...that sure sucks. :(

I'm very glad he's alive though, and the Warden (my wife, Rose) and I send our best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery for him.

If there's anything I or anyone else here can do for either of you, please don't hesitate to ask.
I know people offer help at times like these, but the bunch on this site I can say with all honesty isn't the norm where this is concerned. We're one huge (slightly odd at times:whistle:) family, and will always be concerned how our "brothers" and "sisters" are doing. :)

Hi Janna,
We're very sorry to hear that Mr. BlueMeanie was injured. My wife and I will keep his speedy recovery in our prayers. I'm glad to hear that you expect a full recovery, probably not so for the two wheeled Bluemeanie though Huh? Here at KZR we'll all be awaiting his return to the keyboard so he can fill us in on the details.

All our deepest sympathies. We'll have you both in our prayers here as well.

As with the other guys, be quite assured that if there's any help to be had it need only be named.

John and Janna,
so sorry to hear of your misfortune and our hopes are that John makes a speedy recovery. I know what an accomplished rider John is, (having had to follow behind him on several rides) and I'm sad for his beautiful bike--I know how much he loved riding it.
Feel better soon,
Grant.
