Spent the Day at Hallett. Only 3 riders all day. We got two 20 minute sessions each hour. I am worn out... here are a couple pics. Sorry about the sizing. Photobucket stinks.

That's okay, you know, not every good boy gets to build basements in 103 degree weather by themselves:laugh:

Well you know we have to bust you out on some of those pics. In a few of the pics I see you knee sticking way out but the bike is barely leaned over. What happened? Just messing with you. I would have been scared to even take that beauty on the track for fear of dumping it. I bet it was a blast.

That was turn 9. Seemed to be my nemisis all day. Notice the different lines in the pictures..
I never got it right. The Kawasaki was a little bit twitchy on entry. I didn't want to take it home in pieces again. I rode the Guzzi most of the day and did better on it.
Kawasaki's best was 1:53
Moto Guzzi best was 1:48

Matt on a Triumph Daytona went 1:43.

This was the first time I have ever been on a Road Course. 27 years of other riding led up to this.

Sounds like a good time! The first picture coming into nine looks like your hitting it pretty good, are the other pics of the same lap, just shot in burst mode? 3 riders for the day......sounds like heaven! Who used the track for the other 20 min. session? The guys we go through (Track Addix) does a no session thing at some of their track days, kinda fun to ride with the racers that are testing and just putting on laps. Really poops an old fart like me out though. One time there was a motard guy that flat flew, tested his leathers before the day was over too, no prob. kicked the handlebars straight, put on new leathers and was off again! I have to think about it for an hour or so just from a front end washout, didn't go down but, leathers ok, underwear customized! (racing stripe)

Three different laps during the same session. I had been trying different lines onthat right hander all day. The first entry pics was actually my best and my last. The more I tried the worst I got. Just before that entry to 9 there is a hill and a left, turn 8. As you are coming over the hill its hard to find a good reference point to set up for 9 cause all you see is sky and a drop off. I put a cone at the top of the hill on the inside of the turn and used it for a reference point.

The other 20 minutes was used by a small group of cars. Also friends. 1996 Viper GTS, 1966 AC Cobra, a 944 not sure what year, but it had one noisy Turbo.

We started out at 9am and I finally gave up at 4pm and we let the cars play for a while. I took a ride in the Viper while Shawn drove listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn Cranked up. Funny thing. Everytime the CD skipped he would lose his focus... Nebody wrecked and all no lost parts. Well, except the bar end weight out of my Moto Guzzi. I found it later, beat to hell.

Congrats, Richard.

Looks like all kinds of fun. Coming home with all pieces in the right place is just icing on the cake.
