So today I was riding my kz750 twin. I was going to meet a guy about some kz1000 parts that I saw listed on cl. Well, after riding the 1000 for four years I kinda got spoiled with the gas gauge, of course the 750's gauge didn't think to stop and put gas in it (dumb gauge). So, I ran out of gas, called the wife to come and rescue me and waited. Let me tell you, this always makes her SO happy. While I'm waiting state patrol stopped to make sure everything was ok, then a guy in a car stopped to ask the same. A few minutes later a H**ley pulled a u-turn on the hiway to see if I needed anything, five minutes after that a guy on a bmw rs something-or-other stopped. The bmw guy says that he's owned a 1979 kz1000 for 18 years, and that mine has encouraged him to go home and get it back on the road after sitting for 7 years. So I tell him about this site, and he seems to really be anxious about the 1000's rebuild . So just as the wife shows up with the gas a local cop shows up to see if we need help. I meet some nice people today and maybe a new member to kzr,(the wife will prob stop being mad in a few days:blush: ).If this is the way to introduce kz owners to the site I might do this once a month or so:laugh: .

or maybe it was just a slow day for a bunch of people in your immediate vicinity ???

I have to agree after having the same thing happen to me too! Made my faith in people inch on up there!
Even had a hardly ableson rider check on me too !

dont try that in kansas. i got a flat in april on a 2 lane highway. i was passed by over 100 cars walking and carrying my helmet and no one even slowed down. i had to walk over 1.5 miles to the nearest house.

hmmmm, I've been through Kansas many times and always thought that the people there were more friendly than alot of other places. Maybe it's the smaller towns I've been in and not the larger cities?
