Congratulations on your bike being picked as August '07 Bike of the Month. You're in great company as only the nicest bikes are picked for this honor. Nice to see a CSR picked as the are the best looking KZs;)

It's a nice looking bike, even up close. And she's definitely a runner (hope I didn't jinx you). Way to go, Grantl!

Wow, what a great honor this is...
Thank you very much.
I was so shocked when I logged-on yesterday and saw my bike on the home page--a little embarassed-self conscious too. But what a trip.
I am so glad to have joined this group, what a good-hearted bunch you have all turned out to be.
I have to agree with Oldcoldankles that it is nice to see a CSR model highlighted on the site. It maybe doesn't have the mystique of say the Z1's but it is still a very nice bike that runs well and is for the most-part comfortable in riding position.
I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment here on the site.
Cheers mates.
Grant. :)

Congrats, Grantl.

I have to ask. In the description for your bike, it says that you plan to re-chrome the exhaust this winter. From what I have read elsewhere on this site, re-chroming shops won't touch exhausts because the carbon will contaminate the plating pool. Do you know something I don't? :)

Skyman,
I wasn't aware that chrome shops wouldn't do exhaust pipes either. I have been going to Astro Chrome and Polish in Van Nuys for my small stuff (mostly polishing). I will call them and ask what they can do with exhaust pipes, and get back with an answer.

Bluemeanie,
bringing up the rear in our group is always still a brisk pace--besides it's really a cool sight watching you guys leaning into a corner one after the other. I'm not kidding, you guys have FAST 650's. Whether I'm mid-pack or at the rear, its always great fun riding with you guys.
Grant.

Grant, yea the KZ650's are a great handling bike for sure. The LTD,CSR,SR etc, were not really designed for the twisties. BUT... you do realize that on any straight section of road you could dust our ass'es with a twist of the wrist!! Your 1000 is a fast bike for sure! Congrats again on BOTM!! B)
