Didn't know where to put this...don't want to offend by putting a non-KZ on here, but it's bike-related and interesting to me. It's my Hawk, (was the wife's until I got a little crazy with it a while back and put clip-ons on it...took 'em off recently) wife made me buy her one after I got involved with this one. I picked up a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady and put it on...addressed the 'clip-on' issue, also.

Then I picked up a solo Corbin Gunfighter and had it re-covered by "the man" of upholstery. Lowered the visual profile...I'll enjoy it for the solo-rides or when the wife feels like taking her own.

And finally, the solution to the 'clip-ons are too low, stock rotor-tiller bars suck' problem. A friend from church owed me a little favor and knocked this simple set of bar clamps out for me at his work. They have an inch of rise...oh, and the bars are off my old KZ1000R "clone"...so, now it's cool, eh?

You lucked out by putting a kz part on there. Now paint it lime green and you will be forgiven.

Heeeeeeeeey, if that's all it takes, stand back! ...it'd just make it blend into the garage a little more if I did that...half the bikes in the 'house' garage are green at the moment anyway.
I like this little pig, but it's so gutless, makes for a good "wife's bike" and not a good road bike (Kansas?...long, wide-open roads?...flat?) I sourced a set of carillo rods and a black box for it, but the fuel tanks offer about a hundred miles and then you're on sail boat fuel, so one needs to do a F2/F3/Superhawk feul tank conversion, then you really need a good front end (929/954/RC51), then you have to back that up with a FVR (wider) rear wheel conversion, and if you go that far you need to do the "two rear heads" conversion which necessitates a custom front exhaust pipe, and to realize the power potential with that combo you need 'carbs' as the stockers are notoriously restrictive.
All said and done you've got a cool-ass Hawk that's unique and done right and has all the great features, and the motor goes from about 38 rear wheel bHp to a figure just a little better than...a stock SV650
 ...maybe I should just sell 'em both and get a 650 Ninja
This is why I shouldn't own anything except for a big bore KZ ... I don't know what to do with this stuff!!!
