scarry feeling on the 900 last night

i was out riding with a buddy of mine from work last night, he just got a 78 kz 1000 to tinker with. Anyways there were a group of girls probally aroung 16 to 18 years old standing on the corner, and my buddy of course nailed it going around the corner, and when i did the rear tire lit up when i was like half way through the turn then i fishtaled down the street. I even scraped some of the rubber of the right side foot peg, but man did that kinda freak me out when i fishtaled, but in the same way it was a cool feeling. We turned around and the was a tire mark like 10 feet or so long from my tire. Just glad the cop we call Deputy Fife wasnt around.
