This 2000 GT550, its in pretty good condition and came with Givi hard case panniers.
We've been having pretty bad weather here in the UK (surprise) and I had to ride it back about 300 Miles to my home....lets just say I was a little wet.
Heres a couple of pics....

Theres no name on the crash bars, but most gts here this sort. The left side gets in the way of gear changes if you have big boots on.
And yep this model was released only in the UK I believe. Shaft drive! nice.

What I want to know is why does Kawasaki send all the really cool old school bikes to you foreigners? That looks like a really nice little bike. The closest thing to that we ever got was the 550 Spectre which had a non-sportbike chassis.

Its because over here, across the pond (the wet side - UK), theres a stereotypical image of large Americans cruising about in the sunshine, on clear wide highways on shiny chrome Harleys.......Sorry guys but I think you need to shake off this image!

It ain't stereotyping if it's true!
We definitely got cruiseritis over here.
Don't get me started on imported models again. I finally got settled down from last time!
 :S :pinch:

Hi, I am looking to get a set of panniers for my recently acquired GT550. looking and asking Givi they do not appear to do a rack set for the GT550 - which rack is it that is fitted to your bike? Do you know or is there anything that you can see to give me a clue?
thanks
