I have a pic of him at the finish line of the first 5 second motorcycle pass. He is on the wheelie bars and the front tire never touched the ground the whole way. BTW the NHRA rules say if you touch the front wheel down at the end of the track for a better time you will be disqualified. :woohoo:

If you guys ever get a chance to go to an AMA/ProStar race with the Top Fuel bikes. GO!!!

I've been going to a couple ProStar races a year for the last 6-7 years. You're always gonna see some awesome stuff when Top Fuel is there.

There is always open pits and it's awe-inspiring to walk around and see how much time and effort some of those guys put into their machinery.

BTW, there is another Top Fuel racer, Jim "The Hulk" Brantley that rides a carbon copy setup to Spiderman's, that runs just as good. Nothing is better than watching two 5 second motorcycles race each other.

That would be Larry McBride, one of the "ballsiest" rider's who has ever lived. He is an awesome person and is very down to earth. Met him st Gainseville a few years back and he is one of ther few pro rider's that care about their fans

Don,the rule is wheel down through both mph & ET traps . If you go through the 1st. beam with the front wheel in the air and "drop" it before the et beam to trip it, the timing system sees about 12mph.more than you really ran ( on a funnybike or TF anyway)

I don't think McBride is still running the GPZ style of cylinder head and has moved on to the new V&H head which is Zuk style. Brantley is on a work related racing hiatus and not racing this season. If you've got $200large US and XXL cojones you can own/ride the 5:80 world record holder. If you just want to be the owner my buddy has a current TF bike license & the XXL'S.

Indy Prostar should be a very good TF show.McBride,Webb,Hand and Hogan are all supposed to be there. Maybe Rick Perry with his new bike too.
