Some guy just offered me $1250 for my 650

How far are you from Mid-Ohio. You should be able to find a titled frame or parts bike at the Vintage Motorcycles Days swap meet. A bunch of us wil be there if you want us to look for you.

I must be a bit slow. I'm confused about the title thing and the model(ZR1 or Z1R ?) :blink:

my two cents, I would not sell my 650 for 1250, I have had it for about 24 years, its my baby, if you can get the zr for 600, jump on it and you will still have a bike to ride while you are working on the zr

There's a KZ650 frame with title up on eBay right now ( Kawasaki KZ650 FRAME KZ 650 KZ650LTD ), although the price might be more than what you'd spend to get a title for your current frame.

I have two frames one was given to me by cycletheropy on KZR. The one theropy gave me has no title and is my mok up frame for the zx swingarm setup currently in my basement.

The kz1000D1 (Z1R) is the one under the tarp rotting away.

I dont have the money just to buy the other bike, well let me put it to you like this, I'm not allowed to have the money for ANOTHER motor cycle:S , wifey:blush: .
I realy dont think she likes the Suzuki Intruder 1400, Honda CTM 200, 87 Yamaha Warrrior, 2004 Polaris sportsman 700, and lets not for get the project downstairs sitting next to the GPZ parts and two other 650 engines:blink: :blink:

I have never been one to sell something I really like, however if the price is right I'll sell anything. With that being said I think I would pass on the selling the KZ 650. If the 650 is a good reliable fun bike then keep it. Maybe sell one of your other bikes to fund the Z1R project if you really want it. It doesn't seem like you have to rush into purchasing the Z1R, it has been sitting for 5yrs.

OR

You could purchase the Z1R and squeeze that big 1000cc motor in your project bike, sell me the titled Z1R frame :whistle: and sell the remaining parts on ebay. This way you'd probably make some money off the deal.

I tried that once and it did NOT go well. Took her a week to just swear at me. At least I didnt have to put up with her for a week:whistle:

I almost forgot to tell you guys.
The day that the guy offered me $ I was riding it home and two cylinder stopped firing and all the lights started to fliker and it started popping through the carb. It happen at cruising and at idle.
