So I was going for a little ride, minding my own business. A PU was tailgating me really bad in traffic and this oblivious bitch just turned right in front of me (took a left from the oncoming lane) and STOPS in the middle of the road. I was pretty pissed so I was revving it up with my no baffle exhaust and staring her down so she might think twice the next time. Well when I went to go I was still up there in the RPM and I'll be damned if it didnt rocket skyward. Caught me totally by surprise I almost fell off! It wasnt some little sissy wheelie either, I must have had the front wheel a good 2 feet off the ground! I have to admit I always wondered but I was too much of a pansy to try it hahaha now I know.

That's a good reminder to not allow emotion to rule the day, especially on a bike. Glad you didn't suffer more than a change of underwear! :S

Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.
Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.

At least you had the presence of mind to chop the throttle or tap the rear brake, My brother had the unpleasant experience of going all the way over on MY 650 in a similar situation, after we determined HE was o.k then he had to incur the wrath of a somewhat demented and passionate bike owner for being a dumbass !

Actually after my initial miliseconds of shock I just kinda rode it out a ways and let off the throttle. I think I may try it again sometime! LOL
