There's a lot of really small vid-cams out there that can be had for a few hundred, depending on features and quality (see brand name) of course. Just be realistic in what you want and do the research on it, and try to score one when it goes on sale = July 4th sales should be sprouting up soon enough.

Hey sandy - do you have stabilization on that cam? I do not, though I doubt it would have helped much. Think this might be enough of a reason to get me to buy a new cam....
No Jim,I don't Bud...just a plain-Jane Sony cyber-shot on an aluminum bracket with 2 mounting points...one was the footpeg mounting bolt, and the other was the exhaust canister mounting bolt.

You had said it was also braced - do you have any detail pics of how you rigged it?

What type of material (aluminum?) and hardware did you use to fab that bracket, Sandy?
I was thinking that when I finally get MY vid-cam that I'd like to mount it up with something similar to that, but probably off of the lower triple clamp mounting bolts.

Just used standard nuts and bolts(stove-bolts) to bolt it together.
It worked out perfect, with that type of angle-bar aluminum, because it gave Me a lip where the camera mounts,to keep the camera from swiveling,as it only has the one mounting point.(factory mount,on the camera)
(boot not included)
