Got this from a member here. I didn't catch his user name but he said he wasn't on here much anyway. I put a ad on CL looking for a KZ1000 and he called me. Bike is a 82 and in prety good shape. Tank has a few dings and chips but should be easy to fix. Runs good but needs the carbs synched. He already did the coil mod. He also just installed new carb boots so the carbs should be easy to get off. It should clean up nice. Came with title, complete tool kit, owners manual and repair manual. I got it for a a bit south of $1000

I got it for $850. Good deal I think. Also has new carbs kits installed as well as new NGK plug wires. It is still on the truck. I watched the seller ride it and I rode it onto my truck so I have about 20 seconds in the saddle. It starts right up, shifts smooth, idles nice and throttle response is crisp. I will take it out for a good flogging tomorrow. Tonight I will be busy tearing down the carbs on the 550 I picked up on Sat.

Good price on a great bike. That bike has seen it's better days, but haven't we all in 25 yrs I suppose. For $850 you can't beat that. I rode home a brand new J in 1981. That was the best running KZ1000 I ever rode.

I doubt I will be keeping it so no use adding it to my sig. I have 3 bikes already so I don't need another one. We are moving in Aug so I will ride it for a bit and then let it go to someone who could use it more than me, along with the 550, Shadow and whatever other bikes I buy before we move.

Rochester NY..... Where abouts? Ive been known to ride a KZ or two. Been around them along time.

I am moving to Henrietta in Aug. I will be in town on July 29th. I will be leaving from Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio and coming to NY to drop off my truck, trailer and all my bikes. Then I will fly home a few days later, load up the moving truck and drive back up. Our house is on Helen Rd, off of River road in the West Brighton/Henrietta area. It is about 2 minutes from MCC. It has 2 garages, a 2 car up front and a 3 car in the back. The bigger garage has a urinal, cable and heat. Needless to say I will be wasting lots of time out there. Everyone will be welcome to come and drink beer, tell lies and talk about bikes.
