Finally, the view from my office window:

Petaluma and Truckee, CA -- member since Jan. 23, 2003;
PREVIOUS KZs: 1980 KZ750H with 108,000 miles; 1980 KZ750E with 28,000 miles; and KZ750H street/cafe project, all sold a few years back.

This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.

Wow, nice pix Apeman! What floor is your office on?

I've got a service van from work I can't leave overnight at work or we risk Vandalism. :(

When I work Saturdays, if the weather is nice I take my bike, 20 kms. :woohoo:

Everyday, except pouring rain at the time I leave. I ride about 12 miles each way. I ride in the winter if I know the roads are ice free.

have ridden my 79 kz650 the 27 mile to work at least 3 out of 5 work days year round for the last 19 years. I love the weather in central Florida, this is why they call this the sunshine state!!!

I ride the KZP daily unless it's raining. My biggest fear is the possibility of hitting deer (especially around mating season when they're everywhere).

We have an office in Emeryville, seen those beautiful views many times from my company van. I have also seen Apeman's bike on the street with the other bikes in his pic. Know right where it is:whistle:

My office is on the 38th floor of 44 Montgomery Street. Not a bad place to do my business.

Z1rick, I am happy you noticed my bike. The KZ750H gets lots of comments from fellow bike commuters. It is about the cleanest KZ around downtown SF in daily use. I sometimes ride my KZ750E, but for some reason I like the vibe of the KZ750H better, plus it was my first KZ. (We all understand the nostalgic allure of our first experience.) We should get the NorCal KZriders together. I believe there are enough of us now to make it more than a solo event. Maybe a weekend breakfast meet and short ride?

I have a company provided truck for possible after hours service, so no commuting to here. I do ride out to the farm frequently. Often I need the pickup to do something else so I don't ride as much as I'd like.

I think you can only ride your bike to work in Chicago to be considered a "Dailey" rider, no? ;)
It seems that's a combination of daily and Daley (Chicago's long running mayor)
So, yes, I am a "Dailey" commuter. Since riding my KZ to work my commute has gone from a 45min bus ride to 10min door to door.

I do the 6 mile suburban run every day it is not too cold or raining. I sometimes swap the bike for the truck at lunch, if storms are coming in. As for the "business casual" thing, I wear my dockers, shirt, and tie, add boots. Riding jacket, helmet, gloves & backpack - all shockingly color-co-ordinated to the bike. :P On Fridays, it's Hawaiian shirt day! I need to get some over-pants, as I am conerned if I have to put it down, them dockers ain't doin squat for me.

Every day that it is over 32F degrees in the morning, and not a thunderstorm (regular light rain is fine, but I can't get my computer too wet in my backpack)!

It's about a 25 mile commute that takes me about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the traffic.

...and riding the bike makes it worth doing!

Work?
That's what wives are for!

So that means you are barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen?

I ride to work about once a week, but parking in The Loop is a pain, I have free parking across the street from my building till 4pm, then I have to go stick it in a metered area, but since they switched to the Printing receipt system, I have no where to display the receipt, therefore I get tickets, then have to contect them, its all not worth the pain in the butt, SO I take the EL with 2 blocks of walking.

Here was the view this morning on the way to the platform.
