Maybe my last project like this
Yesterday 16:38
It always seems like there are parts laying around. Between me and my friend who goes on buying sprees we have parts. Or at least I do since he has sold his 4 bikes I built. So I got the left over parts in exchange to getting his 65? Matchless running.
So I have been looking at a titled 76 KZ900 LTD frame on ebay for 3 years. Of course he wanted to much for it so I gave him a reasonable offer. Since it's a 76 KZ and I have a tank set for the 73-75 I needed to change the side cover tabs and battery box mounts to accept the tank set. So this is the start before it goes to the powder coaters. This is a complete from scratch build. I saved all those mounts from a frame I had that was hacked up into a chopper thing. On that bike I kept the engine, carbs and rear wheel and turned it into black beauty.. This build will have the European green / yellow paint.

I wish I had half the garage space you have. I am envious.

I know what you mean about having a few spare parts to use up. I'm currently doing a KZ650 and will be using my spare Z1 stuff...forks, shocks, gauges, etc. But I'll keep the original sidecovers and tank.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar.
