Finally got the bike where I'm reasonably happy with it (still a lot more to go!)

I guess this is missing some context.
Here is how the bike looked some amount of time before i got it:

This is how it was when I received it:

Stripped the tank, inside and out as the liner was detaching and rusting underneath:

Here it is all put back together and repainted. The white things on the carbs are some 3d-printed "air filters" to test with while i figured out the airbox issue. They worked, but if it backfired, it was very exciting!:

And fully back together!

With all the wires? It’s an RC battery charger, that is adjustable and has a profile for lead acid batteries. It tops out at 5 amps, but otherwise no issue charging even a full size car battery.

mcdroid, i very much intend to enjoy the ride! i love everything about the bike! I am going to keep it around as long as i can. Hopefully getting the title transferred this weekend. My Uncle is coming out on Saturday to deliver an '83 GS850L, to work on next. The GS is just a "revival" project.

I've never liked cruisers, or sport bikes. The early '00s ducati monsters were my dream bike for a while. But this KZ is better, to me, in every way.

Stay tuned for a first ride video, next spring!
