Shout Out To “asphalt900”! was created by mcd
This is a long overdue plug for Clay (asphalt900) who restored a rack of smoothbore carbs for me which were an absolute mess as well as a set of gauges that had their own issues. I couldn’t be happier with the work performed and wanted to share my experience with the community (see attached before and after pics). On top of that, the guy’s a hoot to talk to and is a vault of knowledge when it comes to vintage bikes and restorations.

Well Thank-You my Friend!! How's that land buying thing going, i have 36/48 and 52" decks, ha. Buy two mowers and the Wife can Help! Yes, i'm a Hoot but i think that's what got us off the initial ledge of "not knowing". Communication with "listening" ,factual content  and a splash of humor go a long way. Sorely lost these days is actually talking to someone on the phone. A real pleasure covering this territory via conversation, established both of us eventually to understood the bits!  Call sometime!!

I tried letting the wife mow the lawn. She mowed in random patterns and missed patches.

That's Hilarious Kelly but my wife does the same thing, no rhyme or reason, just driving. A chunk here a chunk there still reaching for the sky, ha. But hey..I'm smart enough to keep my trap shut! I pick my battles, don't want land management skills to drive me into #4 marriage.

The worst was the time I was gone on a six day ride. While gone she got out the tractor to do some grading to increase the size of the chicken(now duck) pen. Let's just say that I had to completely redo all of her work. Thankfully she didn't break something on the tractor. She has a natural gift to somehow make machines not work.
I'm still on my first wife but I didn't get married until I was 40yo. The other side of that is I'm 65 and my son is 50 years younger than me.

Wife is willy nilly with mowing but she pulls the tiller across the garden expeditiously and rows out nicely. We don't have ducks, just a lone Goose but although hiding in pic about 25 rock's (chickens if you aren't familiar with poultry talk). Our pen is behind the pond and a dedicated refrigerator to contain all the orbs those hens lay. They make about a dozen a day. We sell eggs as a hobby for persons looking for, wait for it, unpolluted/free range crap/bugs on the ground as a diet. Yes i'm a hippie.

Rookie mistake. Thanks for lending me a hand, Wookie.

Clay, I’ll definitely give you a shout in the not too distant future.

The wife gets 9 or 10 eggs a day. Duck eggs are best for baked goods, pancakes, ect....  She sells all of the eggs they produce to one person.
Not as good as chicken eggs for breakfast stuff, to me they taste like the south end of a northbound duck.
