As an aside, I am following another Z650 that my friend is building. It's where my GPz 750R1 engine came from, a bike which hadn't run for 25 years. The reason that engine was 'spare' was because this Z650 is undergoing an major make over. Its being rebuilt as a 90's era street fighter, powered by a GPz750 Turbo engine, taken out to 810cc and fitted with a bigger turbo, long with suspension and brakes from the 90's. The front end is from a ZXR750 in thick billet yolks, while the swing arm is from a ZRX1200. The latter not quite 90's, but close enough..

I think they are CMA wheels, an upgrade from the original heavy mag wheels back in the 80's.

Brake side rear set done, now needs to be hard anodised, but that can wait..
