Will 77 ltd headers fit on a 81 ltd?

I have an opportunity to buy some Sidewinder headers for my KZ 1000 but they are for a '77 will they fit on a 81 ltd?

I defer to the real experts here, but the '81 is a "J" motor, which I'm 83% sure means the earlier headers would not fit.
Is this thing working? Is this thing on?

The header should fit without any problem, but with most sidewinders you will need to seriously redesign the rear brake pedal and will have to fabricate a muffler hanger.
