I bought this bike as a basket case in 2004.
I parked it 6 years ago when my first was born. Broke it out this season. Wow it needed a lot of work.
Did carbs, intake boots, carb holders and exhaust gaskets to hunt down a backfire on deceleration. It was infact the result of the carb holders being cracked and a carb body was loose from the bank.
Cam end plugs and valve cover gasket.
gasket.
Dual disk conversion and front brake job, bleed etc.
Clutch
All new tubes and hoses
Cleaned fuel tank
New steering bearings
Detail and polish all aluminum
Front wheel bearings
Forks flush and fresh oil. Went 15W
Air filter
Its going into the shop for chain and sprockets. Currently 13 / 38 going to bump to 40 on rear and fresh rubber. I did all the other work myself.
Not really a lot of money, but quite a bit of time.
Need recomendations on dual disk master cylinder, brake lines and chain type...O or X.

X ring chain is better than O ring, as a general rule.
5/8" bore master.
I like to make my own brake lines from earl's parts. My build thread has a tutorial.

We use Apex Brakes for all of our brake lines. He has the specs for most bikes. Over half of our bikes have Apex lines. Custom length lines are not a problem, in our case its usually the master cylinder to splitter is shorter due to a bar change.

My brake lines are all Goodridge from Z1E. I don't mind the extra maint required to run a NON-Oring chain
