1995 KZ1000P reassembly
27 Nov 2022 18:30
As promised, here's some pics of KZP project ahead of me. Head gasket and valve shimming done by prior owner, still need to verify. Also need to check the carbs (indicated rebuilt), and sync them if so. Other than that, it needs tires, the brakes gone through, sorting of some electrical concerns, and general reassembly.

Take off the air suction device and throw it as far away from you as you can. Either use block off plates or join the hoses together.

Air suction device? not exactly sure what you're referring to? Do you mean a crankcase breather, or exhaust secondary air injection? This is my first venture into these Kawis, but I'm very well versed in engine performance and emissions controls.
and please excuse the state of my garage, I'm still cleaning up after some major projects.

Instead of block-off plates, you might be able to install a valve cover without the reed provisions. Be sure to get one that blocks the ports on the cylinder head. sometimes hard to find, though.
