It runs! was created by Highway Magician
I got my '82 GPZ1100 started for the first time on Father's Day. I used starting fluid and only heard it run briefly but it did sound good.
I will run it on gas this weekend, and post a video at that time. This bike hasn't run in over a decade. I'm glad it's revived, and expect
it to be on the road soon. I'm painting it lime green (ELR theme).

Very cool. I just finished sorting my wife's '81 GPz after 5 years. It's a pretty good feeling.
Oh... and pics or it didn't happen!

Here's a quick pic of it. I finally got it into a proper storage unit. It still needs minor paint touch up on the frame and glossy paint on the engine side covers, etc.

That makes sense, yet the factory schematic shows it plumbed the "wrong way". I flipped it over earlier today. Thanks.

Congrats!
Looking forward to some more pictures once the bodywork is done.
Started my KZ after a 5 year slumber, and have just over 1100 KMs on her so far.
Still a pleasure to ride.

Those are some nice GPZs.
I got mine running on gas today. I kept it fuel-injected. Check out the tiny KTM 50 gas tank.
Here's the video. I love the smell of VHT engine paint, in the morning. Ha!

A quick update. I got it registered, and road-tested it a couple of days ago. No issues. There's still a few more parts to be installed but it's nearly done.
It was pretty rough when I got it. I sprayed it in a parking lot, and a rear deck, with VHT Grabber Green rattle-cans
Here's before and after pics.
