78 KZ1000
14 Apr 2021 11:26 - 14 Apr 2021 11:30
I'm back again and ready to move on after my 750G cafe bike got stolen. Picked up this 78 kz1000 down the road from my house and started cleaning it up. Last time it was tagged was 1993. Its got an old RC Engineering pipe on it. Should be a fun project.
Cheers,
Roland

What will you do for the seat? I have a 78 KZ1000B2 (LTD). The seat has just 2 small holes in it, as in pea size. Not sure that I should replace it, but if I could find something close to stock form that was more comfortable to ride on I'd probably go for it.

Wow, That red got so clean it turned black!
Should be a great project. Those KZ1000s look like hot rods bone stock.

I had to look twice. I swear I owned that black bike in the early 80's! LOL!
Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

I'm partial to the ltd style seat, but with a lower profile. I found this "doremi" japan seat on ebay, but it looks like a long turn around time. Might go to a local upholstery shop and see what they can come up with.
