Looking uber cool!

I vote that your Kerker emblem to goes on!

For emblem position reference, see below picture from the Kawasaki Museum...

And, may I suggest a blob or 3 of black TRV silicone under it, to prevent it vibrating and making the rivet holes oval, to a point that it falls off!
(ask me how I know !!!)

@howardhb: Thanks for the pictures, will make sure I centre the emblem and use some silicone on it (would never have thought to do that).

I put the instruments and front brake lines on today and hooked up all the electrics at the front of the bike. I needed to put the coils on before I did the oil lines so I just hooked everything up in one go. After that I got the oil lines from the manifold to the camshaft galleries made up.

Got all the oil lines done and most of the electrics hooked up. Was putting the clutch cable in and had the clips for the frame there. I knew they would scratch the paint but went ahead and tried to put them on anyway   It's not too bad but I'm pretty pissed at myself.

Those oil feed and cooling lines look super cool.  Fantastic.

I was wondering why the tank hold-down strap is routed over the outside of the frame tubes?  All of my bikes have it coming up through the hole in the plate there.  Would that interfere with your electronics?

Wow.  When I got my Z1A in 1979, the rubber strap was around the outside of the tubing like calum's photo.  I  just assumed that's how it was from new.  But maybe thru the slot was the original setup ?
Edit:  Just found a photo in the FSM that shows the strap around the outside of the tubes.

I always thought that hole was for the breather tubes from the carbs. I guess it would work putting the tank strap through there, but it's doing a good job of holding the wire harness in place.

Just found a photo in the FSM that shows the strap around the outside of the tubes.
I also found a photo, from the Z1R assembly and prep manual.  It also shows it going around the outside as you said.
What are the chances that all three of my Z1Rs had a previous owner who rerouted the tank strap?
How odd...  Am I really the only one?

I'm curious as well, but that bike is in storage and I can't get to it right now.

I have only seen the strap routed on the outside of the frame tubes never through that hole. On my original 74 they are on the outside of the tubes.

Put the stripes on the tank and front mudguard today. Shot a thin coat of clear over them and will do the tail and another thin coat on all three tomorrow. I'm off to see the old man for a couple of weeks on Sunday so I'll shoot the final coat of clear when I get back. Wanted to try and get this thing started before I left but when I took the battery off the shelf it was at 0.1 V. Not much use to me so a new one is on the way. I guess I took a bit long with this build...
