Try Kawasaki.com or Partzilla. I did not see a 1981 250-Ltd, but there is a 1980 model & an 81 250-CSR.

I am from the UK and the part number for a 81,82, Z250LTD is 54012-1060, hope this helps.

If your cable is factory original, check it for the number. If it’s not worn off it should be in white lettering on the sheathing
