Of course, it can't stay that way. First the whole thing is taken apart to connect the frame with a reasonable loop again. I will repair rust spots on the frame and repaint with 2k can paint.
I got an international carburetor before I had the bucket in the garage. It has a diameter of 36 instead of 32mm and prevents the torque from dropping at higher revs. The German carrots were castrated with the smaller carburettor (with mega complex cold start mechanism) and short sliders on at that time insurance-favorable 27PS.

Unfortunately, I destroyed a throttle valve shaft of when I was trying to get the thing going. Lesson money for the impatience : 100 € for another carburettor ( Nr.4 ).
But I saved 35€ yesterday when I discovered a second brake disc in one of the boxes. Together with the brake system of a GPZ 900 I can control the murderous power of almost 40hp with a double instead of a single disc brake.

A good start for a 300 euro project bike. Where are you located in Germany?

Thanks for saving it. Clearly, it is the victim of an abusive relationship.

Carb No. 4 has arrived and looks pretty good:
I think no sound bath neccessary.
One one the previous owners has already replaced most of the screws with VA-Inbus Screws and secured them with spring washers. I think that makes sense since the KZ isnt free of vibrations. But i think i will use loctite instead of spring weashers...what do u think?

Spring washers only are ok, no Loctite needed.
BTW, Inbus screws are called Allen head screws. Inbus is a Trademark Name in Europe (Germany).

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

The DGM number is a requirement for import into Italy. It's on a lot of parts. The photo shows it on a Z1 exhaust.
