Found this lovely 1984 KZ1100R locally. Purchased from original owner. A few period mods that are kind of cool. JML Swingarm, Mikuni flat slides, Wolf pipe. Pretty nice shape with 26,000k. Needs a few odds and ends but a wholesale clean up and it should look great. Has not turned a wheel in 15 years so hopefully no issues.

Will keep you posted.

Anyone know a good source for parts for the '84 1100R? I can't even find a parts fiuche.

Very nice score, she will be road worthy in no time.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Very nice find.
Don't see many of them around, anymore.

I bumped into this guy on one some years back.
He needed a boost to get going again.
No kick starter on this one:

HI Wayne
Poking around on this site and noticed that you posted a question that I have as well....albeit you asked it in 2018! I have a 1984 KZ1100R ELR and would love to learn and share sources for parts as well as photos, experiences, etc. regarding our common interest/passion. Assuming that you may be interested and still have your bike feel free to respond here or contact me directly through email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
