I bought this back in october for a mere 40 dollars, its completely in pieces....the motor is all one tho, minus the cover over the sprocket
I bought this at first for the parts for my kz750....it was cheaper to buy the whole bike, than it was to buy the parts that i needed ( front fender, foot pegs)
Well after looking at what i got, i think i can make it work.
The story on it was the guy owned it for 5 years then his son drove it for a year, then decided he would take it apart to paint the frame, painted the frame then there it sat. told me it was all there minus the exhaust....well after doing some digging, its not all there, so im on the hunt for parts
But here is what i have rigged up so far...this was just throw it together to see what i have kinda thing, im going to take it apart and clean up everything. i have no intent on painting it, it good for what it is IMO
If anyone has any parts floating around let me know i may be interested especially if its a 4 into 1 header/ exhaust

My first Kz550 was like that, all in boxes, but cost me $300.
There's a bunch of service manuals available in my signature, along with a website for those carbs.
Also, read the valve train warning before removing/installing the camshaft cover.

The Factory Manuals the Lou is talking about are filled with great information. In my opinion, much better than the Haynes or Clymer. If you are looking for a paper version, the big white Base manual is the one you want. You could always download the free one from Lou's Web Page.
Nice find. Have fun with it.

shame about the graphics though, bad colour, width and bad positioning. That front wheel should be 'leading axle' too.
