Today have replaced the head nuts with black APE bolts, have only done it based on the look.
I painted the OEM nuts black, but the results after some time was not good...

I needed to modify my tool since it was to long, was not able to get the torque wrench in... always fun to "make" tools instead of going shopping, bank holiday today... to be able to get work done today :)

The new nuts is higher, because they are meant to used for milled heads, but I`m happy with the results.

I have also ordered new exhaust system from Delkevic, when I receive it will it be sent further to painter, after som research have I figure out the best option for me and what is possible in the area is to go for Ceramic Coating. Cross my fingers I will be happy for many years :)
Today need to paint the exhaust often to keep it nice.....

Bike is lookin sharp and your not skimpin on the right parts too........ Looking forward to seeing the new header ceramic coated up. Have you talked to anyone to be sure if the coating sticks well and lasts on stainless. I have no clue just wondering and if its reliable on steel I guess it should be....... what header is that you have on there now..... just curious a left sided Denco is a much loved header around here.

Why do you want to coat the stainless? Ceramic coating is fragile and might not stick very well to stainless either, and once you go down the road there will be no coming back.

I want a satin black look...
I have sent email to him now, I have a lot of recommendation on him so if he say it will be good I will trust him.

I have now talked with him and he say stainless steel will not a problem, he confirmed he will sand blast everything first.

I think it was a good idea to replace the studs ? they is heated and cooled many time and can brake when they get old ?

Today have I test mounted the new exhaust, it looks to fit perfect. I have now packed down again and will sent it coating tomorrow.
I will properly not be able to install it before I take the bike out from the storage room in April? I`m afraid of damage it when it move the bike out :)

These weekend have I balanced my wheels, last winter I replaced the tires without balancing the wheel. I have had some vibration when I have driven... not so heavy that I have done something with it... hopefully is that away now... will be interesting to drive when the season start and see how they perform.
I also did some easy polishing on the rims.

Today have I installed washers on the front fork suspension between the progressive spring and the top cups.
I have missed these part...

I also took some measurement on how much the progressive spring is pushed down when there is not weight on the spring (lifted up the frame in the front).

I have never liked the front fender, the way its mounted to the bracket with 4 bolts and nuts....
I found a new fender on eBay from a kz750 1981 model, I have sanded the fender primed and painted it with new black color.
Sprayed some body spray (dry) to avoid corrosion in the inside of the fender.

I absolutely liked the results, much more clean design "follow" the wheel better...

One task left on the fender I need to make some more space for the brake lines, so they don`t damage the paint when I use the bike.
