Hey all.

I am new to the forum and is the owner of a kz750 l1 from 81.

My dad made it up about 15 years ago and since then it has gone about 100mil.

Now I have managed to take the driving license and am now the owner of Kawan.

Plans on it are:
-And front fork
-And swing
-other foot pedals
- new engine packages
- open filters
- remove the passager handle
- fix the battery charge

I have a problem with it now and it is that it does not charge the battery while driving so I can drive about 40-50mil before the battery can not start again.

to check with staton, I have changed the charging relay without results.

I come up with more pictures when the winter comes and I start a little easy to start my vision on my kz.

Mvh Niklas from Sweden

Ps: I use googel translation hope you can understand.

Welcome, Niklas!

That is a nice looking motorcycle. There are many experienced members here who can help with your electrical problem..

The translation of your message is better than expected. If you have difficulty with the language, there are members here who can help with that, too.

Keep the air box in a safe place. You may find you prefer it over the individual air filters. Ed

Great looking bike. Different from the USA model 1981 KZ750E. It looks more like a 750L model.

Enjoy!

Nice bike you got there Nicklas.
First fix the most obvious problems like the battery/charging issue before tearing the bike apart.
If you need translation help Swedish/English just PM me and I'l help you out.
Ed get so grumpy when I answers somebody in Swedish in the forum. :)

A couple photos to inspire you! Note the rear end treatment; compact seating arrangement but the rear end "flows". Not just chopped off.

leave the rear fairing alone. If you move it forward, where are you going to put the shapely hitchhiker?

I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress
