1983 KZ750 L3 Finished Project
07 Sep 2017 19:00 - 07 Sep 2017 19:04
Attached is a pic of my 83 KZ750 L3 which I acquired this spring. I had to paint the tank as it had spent 15 years in a barn and it had some major dents so I went ahead and did the fender and tailpiece as well. My Buddy painted it and RD Decals supplied the graphics. The Kawy only has 17,500 kms on it and it runs fantastic. The motor cleaned up real nice as well. I managed to find the original pipes from the previous owner so cleaned them up the best I could and replaced the header on it. Got some great advice off this forum on setting up the Carbs which I appreciated. Nils helped out with the shocks from Ikon and I shod the bike with Dunlop 404's. Thanks for help from some friends is sourcing a headlight pot and trim as well as some other missing pieces. It is not a perfect restoration but it is a daily rider and my intention was only to clean it up but I am quite happy!

Beautiful. Well done!
It's shame we never really got that model in the states.

What states are you talking about? The United States got that model. It's basically an R1 GPz. Very nice bikes!
