Not sure if you are interested in going down this road but I was able to add GPz footpegs, shift linkage, and brake lever onto my KZ750 and everything was bolt on other than adding the shift lever stud on the sprocket cover. I'm not sure if the same mod is as easy on the 550, it might be worth exploring though.

It's all good. I have actually decided to sell this bike (again). I cannot make up my mind I know lol.

Basically after riding my 78 KZ650 I got this fall I decided I like it better. I was going to keep this 550 but I doubt I will ride it much with having the KZ650, RD350 and a newly acquired 77 GS750.

I'm from the Kingston area, but I moved to CA a couple years ago. This 550 is in CA, but I still have some in NY that I need to bring west.

Nice bike. Where in NY are you? I have the back of the bike all converted except for the tab for the master. The front is an easy fork swap
