    ha i wish those were mine; i paid a shop we use through my work $50; he used TIG and is very good at it.  Up next is the lower rad mount and then a titanium header!

    Come on... Surely there's a difference between stick welding where I live and where you live!

    A talented stick welder can make those even beads (sometimes called "a row of nickels") and they end up looking like TIG beads.  The professional welder that did the crossmember in my 47 Ford hotrod used stick and they came out nice and even like that.  So hats off to your welder.

    So then your welds look similar to mine. I get a bit better after each big project.
    About the time I can't weld anymore I should be a decent welder.

    I cant weld but have to learn again. when i was 16 i learned to weld when was at a mechanical shool and we trained to make nice weld beeds ,now im 55 and remember nothing how to weld.

    modified the zx6r upper triple today to remove the clip on bosses and ignition switch mount.  Running a keyless setup from woodcraft with a hidden killswitch and powdering the triples porche silver.
    ordered tank and side cover decals and dropping tank off for derusting next week.
