Yes. Nice pickup, and it's worth restoring. Read up as much as you can. I'll post up a couple pics of a basket case I started to bring back to life, was almost same condition as yours.

I bought this numbers matching Z1-B for $300 from the original owner. Laid it down...lightly. No major damage, no broken fins, etc. It ran after an oil change and carb rebuild. Hardest part was cleaning the engine. Previous owner did a pretty good black paint job on it so it was a pain to remove. I clearly remember spending a solid week just on detailing the engine. Some covers were so far gone I just replaced them with decent used ones.
I got it to this point and gave up. All new wiring, new gauges,, replated original hardware, etc. The guy that bought it from me finished it a year or so ago. Lost the pics, but it's blue with original pipes.

Well, I finally got it home. Lots and lots to do, and lots of photos to share. She's rough, but mostly original. I have some thinking to do as to whether I'm going to keep it, sell it as-is, or invest a little to get in better shape and then sell. Also, see the attached photo from when it was last on the road in the 90s.[img]http:/[/img]

Did you see the thread "wow" where they are selling a manual on restoring these to original...... that would be something but a lot of cash which I'm short of right now..... with the value of these and they way they are going up I'd keep it and never sell. Will be watching.

Ok, time to try and get some photos actually uploaded. The bike is in pretty rough shape, but some basic detailing is already showing results. The chrome is all pitted, at least somewhat. The seat has a split, but i have vinyl repair guy that should be able to fix it. The tank looks to have been repainted, and the emblems shaved. The repaint looks nearly stock in color. The bike is mostly complete, and has a number of period mods. Tommaseli headlight ears, dyna ignition and coils, a dresda swingarm, mag wheels (are they Lesters or stock from a later Kaw?). The tank still has gas in it (from 1997) but the carbs were removed and drained, and look good inside. Some mysteries too; it only has a single disc brake, but is on the right, as opposed to the left as most are.
Next steps:
- buy an ignition switch and key
- drain gas and hope for the best
- change oil
- change plugs
- buy a battery

Dont forget to change the oil and filter. Might want to squirt a little oil down the sparkplug holes and work the kicker a few times.
In stock form, the brake caliper goes in front of the fork.

It was supposed to be for better braking and handling. I did it to my bike before I got duel ones in the 80's.
