82 KZ750 CSR, tips, tricks, ideas?
22 Mar 2016 00:47
Hey all, just picked up this 1982 KZ750 CSR. The odometer says 4k, I hope it's right but who knows?
Guy I got it from said it's been about 5 years since the last time it ran, also was drained of all fluids prior to storing.
Not to familiar with the Twin motor, is there any tips tricks or things I should look out for or do prior to trying to get it running this weekend?
Also to anyone that remembers my 77' 650 I was going to Cafè, well after consideration.....and with picking this 750 up...I'm going to restore the 650 to stock instead and build this 750 into the Cafe I was planning on for the 650, should be fun being a Twin motor and all.
Open to any and all ideas tips and tricks. I will be documenting and posting the whole build and such on my Facebook page, also for the 650 as well, you can check that out here. www.facebook.com/DukesGarageAndDesign/

I've got an '81 KZ650 CSR that's in progress. Similar styling, so if you like what I've done, maybe some of it would translate. I cut the back off the stock seat pan and built a bum stop with foam and fiberglass. It's nice because it still locks and hinges, but it's much lighter than the stock seat and rear fender.

That's a great looking job there Twerth! Very cool! Thank you for the share. I definitely want to keep the back on my seat, I have kids that are looking forward to riding it, lol.
